Meet "ELI"

	ELI is the last known survivor of the                Search and Rescue Dogs that served on 9/11.
	He was called to aid and comfort in recovery efforts following the days of our nations attack. He worked side by side with the Red Cross, NYPD, and National Guard during extreme stressful times. For his services he was recognized by the AKC and awarded the highest honor for canine excellence. On October 16th, 2010 Eli was awarded the AKC's Lifetime Achivement ACE Award.

will be held June 21, 2011 at 7:30 pm at Charles County Fairgrounds in the board room. This date has been confirmed.

Sorry but our training has completed until Fall 2011.  The next session will start either the end of September or beginning of October 2011 and be held at the Charles County Fairgrounds south of La Plata, MD.  See our Training Page for More Information

The Southern Maryland Kennel Club is an all-breed AKC club located in Southern Maryland.  We advocate for the purebred dog as a family companion, advance canine health and well-being, work to protect the rights of all dog owners and promote responsible dog ownership.  We also sponsor a two day dog show in early July every year.
